I am just so excited for Christmas - my favorite time of the year! A whole season filled with my favorite things: shopping, giving the perfect gift, our gingerbread house party, a mailbox full of holiday greetings,cards and catalogs, christmas pjs, spirit of the season,impromptu family gatherings, our handmade stockings, gorgeous ribbon, wrapping gifts, endless parties, candles, th smell of a fresh christmas tree, baking with mom,the hallmark channel movies, entertaining, cookie decorating, christmas music 24/7, tinsel, christmas dishes, mugs filled with hot chocolate, twinkling lights, goodwill, decorations, sparkles,surprises, christmas eve open house, silver bells, silent night at midnight mass, kids anticipation, handmade ornaments from years gone by, and being home for Christmas.

weekend delight

sleeping in on a saturday morning. dvr shows and cereal in bed. organizing the linen closet. dinner out with my parents and grandparents. sunday morning workout. blts for lunch. a nap. some football. grocery shopping. enchiladas for dinner. chicken noodle soup simmering for this weeks lunches. laundry. sunday night tv.

what a relaxing weekend.   i would have loved to finish organizing other closets and areas in the house but the weekend always ends too soon.
